A very good and useful list. However, they have too many "see ..." in place of a description and yet *no* link to the description. This could easily be done by adding anchor points to the HTML on the page.
They also have a list of companies that are bad (use animal ingredients/testing). However, this too could be improved. I would *really* like to see a list of products which are bad and good. Many companies that are "bad" have products that are good. I realize this would be a huge task to do the research, and PETA clearly does not have the database knowledge to set this up - although I do and I would be happy to volunteer to help.
But we can do it together. May be made an online community which will share information on different companies.

I'm just thinking out loud here...
I can make an online database of products with PHP and MySQL - but not immediately because I have a couple of new projects I'm working on. I can host it on one of my client's sites at first while traffic is low, but it would have to move later. The main thing we can do is design how a system would work.
So we could have a table of companies. Then a table of products with a link to the company table. Since this is such a huge task, we should start with food items only maybe. So we would need a table for ingredients and another table to link ingredients to food items. The ingredients are known to be (possibly) animal origin or not and hence the food product could be categorized based on the ingredients. Categories could be Vegan, Vegetarian, or dead. But maybe there should be others in the future, like maybe based on animal testing. For example, a Gillette razor is Vegan but tested on animals.
Data entry now becomes a mammoth task. I certainly can't even begin to do that except to create the ingredients table and the company table from the PETA site. I could make a web-based interface for others to enter the data though.
