EVENT: Seventh annual Charlottesville Vegetarian Festival
Largest annual vegetarian/animal rights festival in the Southeast
PURPOSE: To promote and celebrate a humane and healthy vegetarian lifestyle
DATE: Saturday, September 27, 2003
TIME: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
LOCATION: Lee Park (outdoors)
Charlottesville, Virginia
One block north of Charlottesville’s historic Downtown Mall
ADMISSION: Free
ATTENDANCE: 8,000 to 10,000 visitors annually
NUMBER OF EXHIBITORS: More than 100 exhibitors
ACTIVITIES: 25+ restaurant and food booths
20+ healthy-living exhibitors
30+ nonprofit and educational organizations
15+ animal shelters and no-kill sanctuaries
10+ miscellaneous exhibitors (veggie-themed merchandise, veggie singles table, etc.)

Raffles, prizes, free samples
Spay/neuter project fun-raising activities – face painting, clowns, jugglers, magicians
